MANSEHRA – Sardar Shahryar Khan, son of the senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan has withdrawn from the contest of National Assembly from Abbottabad district.

Sardar Shamon, son of Mehtab Ahmed Khan told state-media on Thursday that his brother has decided to quit the electoral battle whereas Sardar Fareed (cousin of Sardar Mehtab) has decided to contest the election as an independent candidate from PK 36 by returning the PML-N ticket.

Sardar Mehtab, former adviser to the prime minister on Aviation
(2013-18) had also served as Chief Minister KP (1997-99) and KP governor KP.

Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan had apparently shown his reservations
after the refusal of NA-15 ticket by PML-N. It merits to mention here that some differences had surfaced over the distribution of tickets in Abbottabad.
