ECP turns hospital into polling station, dark comedy ensues

KARACHI – In what can be called ‘ludicrous’ management, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has turned a hospital in Landhi into a polling station.

In the ongoing maneuvers for the by-elections in NA-258 in Karachi, the ECP has set up polling stations in a hospital, causing serious inconvenience to the patients.

According to the details, the Out Patient Department (OPD) at the hospital was also interrupted and eventually halted due to the interruptive formation of polling booths in the hospital.

“The patients who turned to dispensaries for medical care were shocked when they were given ballot papers instead,” the report revealed.

According to Dunya News, the hospital which provided free health care, polio vaccinations and other medicines, disappointed many patients who had come from distant places and had them returned home without treating them.
