MUZAFFARGARH (Web Desk) – At least six people including five children died in a house fire in the Kot Addu area of Sanawan, Dawn reported on Friday.
According to media reports, fire suddenly broke out in a house and engulfed three other houses, killing five children, ages ranging from one to 14 years old, and a 25-year-old woman.
“The fire started in a room with wood and plastic materials the brothers used to make screens for room coolers”, District Police Officer (DPO) Awais Ahmed said.
The injured were shifted to Nishtar Hospital Multan.
Firefighters and locals extinguished the blaze within an hour. Initial investigation reveals that the blaze has been caused by an electrical short-circuit.
