FAISALABAD – In a shocking incident, a 15-year-old girl has allegedly been raped several times by her father over a course of the last seven months in an area near Faisalabad city.
According to Express Tribune, police received a complaint filed by victim’s mother, a resident of Chak Juhmra located about 21 km from Faisalabad, accusing her husband of raping their teenage daughter for the last seven months.
The mother, who works as a housemaid in the area, said that her husband is an employee at a factory and he used to rape the girl at the time when she was alone at home. She went on to say that her daughter had become pregnant due to repeated rape.
She added that her husband also threatened their daughter of dire consequences on sharing the ordeal with anyone.
When the news spread in the village, Chak No 199-RB, Fakharabad, the villagers took the matter to panchayat, a group of elders, to resolve the issue, she said, adding that the members of the panchayat advised her to keep the matter secret for the family’s dignity. She accused the members of pressurizing her for not taking action against the husband.
Meanwhile, the police have launched investigations after registering an FIR under sections 376, 506 and 176.
