No economic development sans political stability: Pervaiz Rashid

MUZAFFARABAD (Staff Report) – Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said that political stability in the country is necessary for economic development.

Addressing a news conference in Muzaffarabad on Sunday, he said that Pakistan had been put on the track of economic development due to the policies of the PML-N government.

The minister said that the country’s foreign exchange reserves had surpassed the twenty-one billion dollar mark, a first time in the history of Pakistan.

He regretted that anti-development forces had become active, trying to create political instability, when the country had started making progress in 2014.

He said that the objective of creating political instability was to stall economic progress.
