KARACHI – Pakistan People’s Party candidate Abdul Hakim Baloch has won NA-258 by-election, according to unofficial results.
Abdul Hakim Baloch secured 72,400 votes to regain the area that has been one of its few traditional strongholds in Karachi.
The seat fell vacant after Hakim Baloch resigned from the Pakistan Muslim League and joined the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). Eleven candidates from different political parties contested the election.
The PML-N, PTI, MQM did not participate in the polls.
