MUZAFFARGARH – A teenage girl was allegedly gang-raped by three men in Muzaffargarh after the victim’s father failed to return a meagre amount of loan he borrowed from one of the accused.
The incident happened in Alipur, an area of the city, on Saturday when the main accused and his two suspected accomplice took away the 17-year-old girl from his home, said a first information report (FIR) registered by the victim’s father.
The complainant, who is a labourer, said that he was at work when they took away his daughter, adding that the prime accused contacted him and said that if he return the loan amounting to Rs4,000, he would send back his daughter.
Later, the father, with someone’s help, transfer the money to the suspect via mobile phone, the FIR said, adding that he was then allowed to talk to his daughter on the phone.
The labourer said that his daughter was crying when he spoke to her and told him that the three suspects had sexually assaulted her inside a house.
When the father reached the house where the crime was allegedly committed, the suspects fled the scene, leaving his daughter behind. A search operation is underway to arrest the accused person, while the medical report of the victim is yet to come.
It is said that the prime suspect is the clerk of a police official.
