ISLAMABAD – Pakistan electronic media regulatory authority on Thursday banned Geo television morning show for five days and imposed Rs. 1 million fine.
The decision by regulatory authority came in the aftermath of indecent content aired during the morning show named ‘Geo Pakistan’. A show-cause notice was issued to the leading Pakistani News channel on March 15.
With Pemra’s ban, the morning show would not be aired for five days starting from April 3 to April 7, 2017.
