Nelson Mandela s grandson arrives in Lahore with non-political motives

LAHORE – Mandla Mandela, the grandson of the late South African president Nelson Mandela, arrived in Lahore on Thursday.

Mandla, who is a member parliament of South Africa, will attend Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s ‘Tajdar-e-Khatam-e-Nabbuwat Conference’ at the invitation of Dr Tahirul Qadri, the head of the PAT.

It is Mandla Mandela’s first visit to Pakistan after embracing Islam in 2016. He has arrived from Medina, Saudi Arabia.

In a brief interaction with newsmen at the airport, the visiting dignitary said he was very happy to be here in Pakistan.

‘I am not here for any political interests, my grandfather also loved Pakistan.’ he clarified

The junior Mandela maintained that he was proud to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi with the people of Pakistan.
