RAWALPINDI – Four civilians were injured at working boundary due to unprovoked Indian firing.
According to ISPR statement issued on Sunday, an intermittent exchange of fire continues at working boundary in Harpar, Chuprar, Pukhlian and Shakargarh sectors since Saturday.
“Pakistani troops are effectively targeting Indian posts”, the statement said.
The military’s media wing termed the Indian claim of hitting and being able to destroy any Pakistani post at LoC in Neelum valley on Friday as totally untrue.
“The claim is part of India’s propaganda campaign aiming to hide its losses at the Working Boundary and to divert the world’s attention from ongoing Kashmir issue,” the statement added.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also condemned continuous and unprovoked ceasefire violations on the Working Boundary and the Line of Control (LoC) by Indian forces.
According to Indian media reports, India’s Border Security Force (BSF) claimed to have killed 15 Pakistani soldiers during cross-border fire along the Working Boundary on Friday. Two of Pakistan’s Frontier Force soldiers and 13 Rangers were killed, an initial statement by BSF said.
