KP Ehtesab Commission dismisses corruption petition against Ayesha Gulalai

PESHAWAR – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ehtesab Commission on Monday dismissed a petition against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Ayesha Gulalai, days after the accuser was shot dead in the province.

The anti-graft body stated that Gulalai has been accused of misappropriation of only Rs1.2 million while the commission only probes corruption cases of over Rs5 million.

On August 8, Gulalai’s former principal secretary Noor Zaman had submitted the petition to the commission accusing the ex-PTI leader of corruption and asking it to launch an enquiry into the matter.
