BEIJING (Web Desk) – Chinese officials have expressed concerns over the rising tension between Pakistan and India stressing the need for resolution of conflicts through dialogue.
The spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Minister said that China was abreast of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
He also said that the Kashmir issue was a historic dispute which should be resolved through dialogue between India and Pakistan. The official maintained that India and Pakistan should resume talks with each other and promote cooperation.
He expressed the hope that Pakistan and India would both play a responsible role for maintaining peace and regional stability.
India and Pakistan exchanged fire at the Line of Control on late Wednesday night, as the former falsely claimed that it had conducted surgical strike against the latter.
ISPR refuted Indian claims of conducting surgical strike in Pakistan and claimed that a scathing erjoinder had been given to the hostile Indian forces.
ISPR disclosed that two soldiers had been martyred in the attack while Pakistan’s security forces had destroyed three Indian check-posts.
Moreover, US Secretary of State John Kerry cautioned India against escalating tensions with Pakistan on the same day the two countries were engaged in a short ruckus along the Line of Control.
