At least 3 dead in California bowling alley shooting

LOS ANGELES — At least three people were dead and four injured in a shooting at a bowling alley in Torrance near Los Angeles.

The incident took place at the Gable House Bowl, a bowling alley on Friday and multiple victims were found with gunshot wounds inside a gaming venue that offers bowling, laser tag and an arcade.

Witnesses say that a fight at the alley turned into a shooting; according to the Torrance Police Department, three men died at the scene. Four male victims were injured. Two of them were transported to a local hospital for unknown injuries.

In a tweet posted shortly after midnight, the Torrance Police Department had warned people to “please stay away from the area.”

Torrance, a coastal city, is located around 20 miles (32 kilometres) southeast of downtown Los Angeles in the South Bay region.

According to health authorities, nearly 40,000 people died in the United States as a result of firearms in 2017.

In November 2018, at least 12 people were killed while 10 others were left wounded in what the international media called a mass shooting at a bar in Southern California.
