Punjab bans anti-dengue spray following Jehlum school incident

LAHORE (Staff Report) – Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday announced a conditional ban on use of anti-dengue spray at public places including schools, colleges and markets.

According to statement administration of all public places is required to get a permission from provincial health department prior to usage of anti-dengue.

The step has been taken after Jehlum school incident where more than 30 schoolchildren fell unconscious following anti-dengue mosquito spray at the Government girls high school .

According to rescue sources more than 30 girls have been shifted to DHQ hospital in Jehlum.

Earlier this week, at least 80 school girls fell unconscious when anti-dengue chemical was sprayed in their school in Attock.
