ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has released a man, who was handed over to it by Italian authorities for allegedly having links with terrorist outfits, after initial interrogation.FIA releases man captured in Italy
According to the FIA, Usman Ghani, who was extradited from Italy on the suspicion of having links with terrorists, has been released after no solid evidence of his links with terrorist organizations was established.
FIA Director Inam Ghani said that Ghani hails from Mardan and he was expelled from Italy for his alleged contacts with extremist outfits.
He said that Ghani was not involved in any offence, nor was he wanted to the FIA or any other law enforcement agency in Pakistan.
Initially, he was dubbed as prime accused in the terrorist attack on Army Public School Peshawar, but the FIA investigation found him not guilty.
