ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said Pakistan is making sincere efforts to develop cordial relations with the neighbouring countries.
In an interview, he said India should also show serious attitude for maintaining peace in the region.
He said terrorism is an international problem and Pakistan has rendered a lot of sacrifices in war against the menace. The minister said India wants to keep Pakistan engaged in a “low-intensity war” on its eastern border.
He said the government is involving international players to play their role for resolving the Kashmir issue.
Asif said the armed forces are fully capable to respond to any aggression and protect the geographical boundaries of the country.
He said the operation Zarb-e-Azb is moving ahead successfully and the entire nation is supporting it for peace on a permanent basis.
