PAF airstrikes kill fifteen terrorists in Tirah valley

PESHAWAR (Staff Report) – At least fifteen terrorists Saturday killed as security forces launched aerial strikes in different parts of Tirah valley in Khyber tribal agency.

According to media reports, the air strikes also injured three other militants.

Security sources said that three terrorist hideouts were also destroyed in the aerial bombardment in the restive north western tribal region hit by militancy.

The military began an offensive in Khyber in October 2014, carrying out air strikes and using artillery, mortars and ground troops.

Overall levels of militancy-linked violence have dropped dramatically this year, with 2015 on course for the fewest deaths among civilian and security forces since 2007 — the year the Pakistani Taliban umbrella group was formed.
