ID cards stolen from NADRA office ahead of LB polls

KARACHI (Online) – Unknown number of National Identity Cards (NICs) are reported to have been stolen from NADRA office ahead of Local Bodies (LB) polls in Karachi.

Some unidentified persons broke into the NADRA office during night hours and took away dozens of NICs and cameras from the office located in Nasir Abad branch near Aisha manzil.

The police reached the scene after the matter was reported and started investigation.

Sources said stolen NICs could be used in illegal activities.

A powerful political party of the city has been accused for such grabbing of NICs from citizens before any elections.
