Sharif, Salman reaffirm strong ties

RIYADH (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, on Wednesday, met Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdul Aziz in the royal capital Riyadh, media reports said.

Both leaders discussed the matters of mutual interest, including international issues, in the meeting. They reaffirmed the strongest ties among two Muslim countries who share vast history of cooperation.

Salman vowed to boost economic investments in Pakistan especially in power sector.

The premier thanked the Saudi government for its continuous support to Pakistan in tough times.”Terrorist are our common enemies”, he said.

PM Sharif, along with the chief minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, is on a three-day visit to the kingdom at special invitation of the Saudi King, who took over the throne in January after the death of His Highness Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz.

Sharif, during his visit, will also perform Umrah and offer gratitude at the mausoleum of the last Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.).
