Rs 65 billion allocated for textile sector: Mamnoon Hussain

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – President Mamnoon Hussain says the government has allocated sixty five billion rupees for the textile sector under the new policy.

He was addressing a function at Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FCCI) on Wednesday.

The President said the government is taking measures to overcome the energy crisis.

He said the Muslim countries have vast opportunities to cooperate with one another in the sectors of economy and trade.

Earlier, President Mamnoon Hussain has said the government is determined to put the economy on right track and all resources are being utilized to develop industrial sector.

He was addressing Textile Exports Excellence Awards Ceremony in Faisalabad on Wednesday.

The President urged the businessmen to cooperate with the government for the revival of economy and suggest remedial measures for the solution of problems related to the industrial sector.

He said interest rate has been reduced and several power projects are underway to speed up industrialization in the country.

Mamnoon Hussain said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will generate huge economic and job opportunities in the country.

The President said Trade Development Authority is being activated to explore new markets in the world.

He said Operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorists has been going on successfully and helped in controlling extremism and terrorism in the country.
