Zardari performs Umrah, likely to skip BB s death anniversary ceremony

MAKKAH (Staff Report) – Former Pakistan President and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari performed Umrah in Makkah, Saudi Arabia just a week ahead of his wife’s eight death anniversary.

The former president is likely to skip the central ceremony at Benazir’s mausoleum as he resides in Dubai for last several months.

According to a PPP statement Zardari had arrived in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday and performed Umrah on Thursday.

On the occasion Asif Ali Zardari also offered special prayers for the martyrs of Army Public School Peshawar and country’s success in war against terrorism and militancy, the statement added.
