ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday announced a one-year extension for Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, said the media reports.
Following the prime minister’s decision, the advisory for the extension of Air Chief Marshal Sidhu’s tenure was forwarded to President Asif Ali Zardari for approval.
Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, a distinguished four-star air force officer, currently serves as the 16th Chief of Air Staff.
He assumed command of the air force on March 19, 2021, succeeding ACM Mujahid Anwar Khan.
It is worth mentioning that Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu recently met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss various matters of national significance.
