PSL 7th match: Quetta Gladiators defeat Peshawar Zalmi by 3 wickets

DUBAI (Staff Report) – Sarfraz Ahmed’s Quetta Gladiators secured their win against Shahid Afridi’s Peshawar Zalmi by three wickets in the seventh match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) T20, played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Quetta Gladiators won the toss and decided bowling first.

Peshawar Zalmi set 136-7 runs target for Gladiators. Zalmi lost five wickets for a score of 59 runs when Darren Sammy came in and scored 48 off 31 balls with the help of four maximums and one boundary. He was supported by a 25-ball 21-run innings by Shahid Yousuf.

Muhammad Nawaz took three wickets while Umar Gul and Zulfiqar Babar bagged two and one wicket respectively.

Both teams were leading the points table with consecutive victories on their back. Quetta Gladiators defeated both Islamabad United and Karachi Kings by eight wickets in the previous matches and Peshawar Zalmi won their first match against Islamabad United by 24 runs and defeated Lahore Qalandars by nine wickets.
