ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed, on Sunday, said the Rangers are only implementing the policies formulated by the political leaderships for the sake of peace in Karachi and those having reservations should go to the courts.
The minister, while talking to local media, said Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad are leading the targeted operation conducted by the paramilitary force along with police in Karachi. “All the political parties had given the nod to the action against criminals without any discrimination”, he maintained.
Rasheed termed the Rangers raid on the Muttahida Qaumi Movement headquarters, Nine Zero, completely lawful and justified. MQM’s anger and use of harsh words about the forces is not acceptable to the government as well as the people of Pakistan, he affirmed.
Rasheed demanded the political leadership to back the Rangers rather than criticizing them for the actions against criminals.
Answering a question, he said the operation against terrorists was in progress in the whole country and it was not area, city or party-specific.
