LAHORE – The provincial authorities in Punjab issued new schedule of school timings for winter season.
A notification shared by the School Education Department (SED) of Punjab stated that classes will commence from 8:45am to 2:45pm from Monday to Thursday, with Friday hours set from 8:45am to 12:45pm.
For schools that follow double shifts or afternoon schedules, the new timings will be from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on weekdays and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Fridays.
Schools change winter timings for comfort of students. Adjusting start times allows for travel during daylight, keeps students warmer in the cold mornings, and reduces exposure to harsh weather.
This also helps schools save on heating costs and can improve student alertness and performance. Overall, these changes aim to create a safer and more effective learning environment.
