PML-N blames Imran Khan to invest SKMHT funds in offshore companies

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Danyal Aziz accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan of investing funds in offshore companies.

He was addressing a news conference along with PML (N) leaders Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Pervaiz Rashid on Wednesday evening.

He alleged that Imran Khan invest funds collected in the name of Shaukat Khanam Memorial Hospital Trust (SKMHT).

PML-N leader further claimed the 2 audit reports of SKMHT said the charity funds collected in the name of the hospital was used in investments and that the money were transferred abroad.

Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said that PML (N) believes in transparency and presented itself for accountability whenever allegations were levelled against it.

The Minister said PML (N) formed judicial commission when allegations of rigging were levelled and went for audit to clear itself of accusations of alleged wrongdoing in a power project.

He said the party also has an internal mechanism of accountability.

The Minister, however, regretted that Imran Khan levels allegations against others but has not so far got cleared himself despite allegations of corruption in Shaukat Khanum Hospital and Bani Gala property.

To a question, he said there is not a single word in Panama papers about any illegality or wrong doing of the Prime Minister, his sons or his daughter.

He said the family of the Prime Minister was clean and that is why Mian Nawaz Sharif has announced setting up of a judicial commission.

He said its political opponents are finding themselves politically squeezed because of good performance of the Government and are, therefore, resorting to politics of allegations.

He said there was no threat to the Government till 2018 and even beyond.
