Banks to remain open on Saturday, Sunday to receive Hajj applications

KARACHI (Staff Report) – Designated branches of scheduled banks will remain open on Saturday and Sunday to receive Hajj applications.

A press release issued by the State Bank of Pakistan said, “State Bank upon the request of Ministry of Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony, has issued instructions to designated banks (Habib Bank Limited, United Bank Limited, National Bank of Pakistan, MCB Bank Ltd, Allied Bank Ltd, Bank of Punjab, Bank Alfalah and Meezan Bank) to open their designated branches on 23rd and 24th April 2016 (Saturday & Sunday) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for the purpose of collection of Hajj applications along with the dues.”
