FRANKFURT (Staff Report) – Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan is focusing on economic growth and job-creation despite facing terrorism and security challenges.
In an interview to CNBC international in Frankfurt, Germany, he said the country’s economy has shown great resilience against the global trend of developing countries, which have seen negative declines.
Ishaq Dar said the government showed seven-year high growth in the last fiscal year, and in the current year it will cross five percent.
He said efforts are underway to increase growth rate to seven percent in the next two fiscal years.
