QUETTA (Web Desk) – A court in Quetta handed over the suspended finance secretary, Mushtaq Ahmed Raisani to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on 14 days remand.
Over 700 million cash and bonds including local and foreign currency was recovered from the house of Raisani and apart from; gold jewellery weighing several kilograms was also recovered from his house yesterday.
The court accepted the NAB’s plea.
DG National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan Major (rted.) Tariq Mehmood said at least Rs. 651.8 million was recovered from the finance secretary’s house in a Friday’s raid.

Raisani was arrested during a raid at his office in the civil secretariat on Friday.
The finance department was sealed during the raid while officials searched all rooms to sift through records, sources said, adding that records of the finance department were also seized for further investigation.
Raisani, an influential bureaucrat in Balochistan, has served as the secretary finance for the last few years. He served in the same position during the Pakistan People’s Party government’s term as well.
