Afghan refugees ears chopped off for harassing woman

SWABI (Staff Report) – The ears of an Afghan refugee were chopped off by villagers after he allegedly harassed a married woman in a remote Parmuli village of Razaar tehsil here on Friday, police said.

The injured Lal Khan had reportedly assaulted the wife of one Zahir Khan. She informed her husband about the incident, leading to a clash in which her gave the refugee a severe beating and also chopped off both his ears.

Meanwhile, Lal Khan admitted that the cause of the incident was harassment. Police have registered a case against the accused, including Zahir Khan, Abbas Khan, Umar Khan, Zaman Khan, Taj Malik, Amin Khan, Ali Gul, Daulat Khan and others.

Both the victim and the accused have lived in the Parmuli village for years.
