I need security : Qandeel Baloch writes to Interior Minister after identity documents leaked online

ISLAMABAD: Fauzia Azeem, who is also popularly known as controversial social media sensation Qandeel Baloch, has requested Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, DG FIA and SSP Islamabad for security after the images of her passport and CNIC were leaked online. In her correspondence with these officials, she has used her real name.

In the letters, Baloch urged strict action against those who made her identification documents public using social media networks, saying that the situation had made her “extremely tense and depressive”.

She questioned how her credentials were obtained from the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and the Passports and Immigration Department without her permission.

Such steps are “destroying my image in show biz,” she alleged, claiming her life was in danger now and that she was receiving threatening phone calls.

“I need security from you,” Qandeel Baloch said while extending her fear that the leaked documents can be used for “negative” activities in her name.
