PML-N s Shah Saleem Khan wins GB by-polls

HUNZA – The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Saturday won by-election for Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly seat that was vacated by its lawmaker last year.

According to unofficial and unconfirmed results PML-N candidate Shah Saleem Khan won the by-poll, securing 4,679 votes.

Independent candidate Obaidullah Baig manage to get 4,025 votes for second place.

Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan, the previous winner of this seat had nominated his son Shah Saleem Khan for the by-elections.

Polling in this area has been postponed thrice. Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan, the previous winner of this seat has nominated his son Shah Saleem Khan for the by-elections.

There are 74000 people living in the constituency.
