Imran Khan unhappy with PTI lawyers, may seek replacement for Panama leaks case

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan is considering to replace one of his existing lawyers in the Panama Leaks case.

The meeting of PTI’s legal team took place under party chief Imran Khan in which the party leaders advised him to seek a replacement for the main lawyer Hamid Khan, who has failed to effectively put forward the party’s position.

Many party leaders suggested that a lawyer with an aggressive style of presentation would suffice as the case has the political basis.

According to reliable sources, Babar Awan would be considered as a main lawyer in the case, although the final decision will be taken after Imran Khan’s return from the UK.

A larger bench of the Supreme Court resumed hearing of the Panama Leaks case today.

In the hearing, Justice Azmat Saeed said if the claims of the children of the prime minister prove true then PTI’s petition will be dismissed.

“Now it is up to you Hamid Khan sahib that you pay attention to the documents submitted by the Prime Minister’s children,” he told PTI’s lawyer.

Justice Asif Saeed Khosa said, “You have guided out the errors. Now give us documentary evidence.”

“We cannot scrutinise the entire life of Nawaz Sharif,” he appended.

The court adjourned the hearing till November 30.
