Intermittent rain with snow to lash scattered places of country in next 24 hours

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast more intermittent rain with snowfall at a number of places in Punjab, KP and FATA during the next 24 hours.

According to the Met office, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Bannu divisions and FATA will receive rain with snowfall during the next 24 hours.

The rain may also lash scattered places in Multan, Sahiwal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur divisions, Lower KP and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Intermittent snowfall is likely over Murree, Galiyat, Neelum Valley, Rawalakot, Kalam, Malamjabba, Chitral, Drosh, Shangla, Naran, Kaghan, Skardu and Astore.

Intermittent rain may trigger landslides in the vulnerable areas of Malakand, Hazara divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

Earlier, rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills occurred at scattered places in Upper Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and isolated places of Sindh in the last 24 hours, the Radio Pakistan reported.
