Nokia s iconic 3310 phone relaunch on the cards, says report

LONDON – Smartphone giant Nokia is gearing up to relaunch its iconic 3310 phone, according to a report by Business Insider.

Evan Blass, a smartphone freak and privy to the hidden developments in a blog hinted at the possibility of the relaunch of 3310 by the end of current month.

Nokia 3310 was originally launched some 17 years ago and with the passage of time and tech ecosystem embarked on android and IoS development, the brick-like soul went obsolete.

HMD Global, the Finnish company that now makes Nokia phones, is reportedly preparing to launch a ‘modern version’ of the 3310 ahead of Mobile World Congress, a mobile industry conference to be held in Spain on February 26.

It will reportedly retail for €59 in Europe. The amount equals Rs. 6534 in Pakistani currency although it’s not clear when or whether it’ll launch elsewhere.

Nokia has yet to confirm or refute the news besides revealing the details regarding camera, apps and screen size.
