BANNU (Web Deak) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday lauded the sacrifices of the tribal people in the war against terrorism.
The PM was speaking at a briefing on Operation Zarb-e-Azb and return of the temporarily displaced persons to their homes in Mir Ali, North Waziristan.
He said the state has high regard for patriotism and sacrifice of the people in the tribal areas.
He said the tribal people had to leave their homes for a limited period to help the security forces carry out an effective operation against the terrorists in the area.
The Prime Minister was briefed that most of the areas in North Waziristan have been cleared of terrorists in the ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
Minister for States and Frontier Regions Abdul Qadir Baloch, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehtab Ahmed Khan, and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif accompanied the prime minister.
