Firm Tamim, Kayes build unbeaten 273 for Bangladesh

KHULNA (Staff Report) – Bangladesh on Friday completed 273 runs without any loss at the fourth day of first test match against Pakistan in Khulna.

Bangladesh’s openers continue playing for record partnership where Tamim Iqbal is batting at 138 runs and Imrul Kayes at 132 runs.

Bangladesh, who made 332 in their first innings after winning the toss, trail by 23 runs only with last remaining in the match.

Earlier Pakistan were dismissed for 628 in their first innings shortly before lunch.

Asad Shafiq (83) and Sarfraz Ahmed (82) carried their overnight partnership to 126 after Pakistan resumed at 537-5.

Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam claimed six wickets for 163 runs.
