CHARSADDA – Another suspect has been arrested in connection with the Mardan lynching case, in which Mashal Khan lost his life at the hands of an enraged mob on the premises of the Abdul Wali Khan University (AWKU) after being accused of blasphemy.
Suspect Hammad Ahmed who is a student of Zoology at the AWKU was presented in a special Anti-Terrorism Court. He was remanded four-day police custody.
So far, 57 suspects have been arrested, while 59 suspects have been identified till date.
Three other suspects arrested earlier, including a lecturer at the college, were also presented in court after expiration of their remand. The court sent them into judicial remand as the suspects have denied the charges, Geo News reported.
