BURMA – Renowned TV anchor Aamir Liaquat Hussain has been detained at Myanmar’s International Airport for unknown reasons, according to Bol TV.
Liaquat, who had reportedly travelled to Burma to help out persecuted Rohingya Muslims was taken into custody by immigration authorities without being informed about the reasons for detention, media reports said.
Bol TV has confirmed the detention of the anchor who along with Waqar Zaka was en route to Burma.
