Man injures transgender after she refused a relationship with him

RAWALPINDI – A drunken man injured a transgender in a firing incident after she refused to “become his friend”, police said on Thursday.

The accused Tariq opened fire on a transgender Sonia in Pandora Chung with New Town police station jurisdiction. As a result, Sonia was injured.

The victim was rushed to the Holy family hospital for medical treatment. Police claimed that the accused was arrested and the case was registered against him.

Last year, a transgender man had been gunned down within Civil Lines police jurisdiction.

Aurangzeb alias Naila, a resident of Multan, had been residing at a flat at Mureer Chowk. Unknown persons had broken into the flat and shot her dead.
