In the intra-party polls, the Amir-led group has been excluded with no mention of Amir Khan, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Nasreen Jalil or Waseem Akhtar on the ballot papers for Raabita Committee, Express News reported.
However, members supporting Sattar, including Kamran Tessori, Khawaja Sohail Manzoor, Qamar Manzoor, Muzzammil Qureshi, Syed Ali Raza Abidi, Shahid Pasha, Sajid Ahmed and Salahuddin Sheikh, have been nominated in both RC and CEC.
A fight between MQM-P’s two factions erupted over the issue of distribution of party tickets for upcoming Senate elections. The Amir-led group had strongly opposed nomination Kamran Tessori, a relative of Sattar, by sidelining seasoned party leaders.
