ISLAMABAD – Captain (retd) Safdar, son-in-law of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, on Thursday expressed his feelings of love and admiration for his wife, Maryam Nawaz.
Talking to media outside the accountability court in Islamabad, he said women hold much respect in society. He asked the people not to make comments on the third marriage of Imran Khan, chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

When a reporter question Safdar about his life, he said: “I am happy with my married life,” adding, “Maryam Nawaz is a hoor of paradise for me.”
In a light conversation with journalists, Safdar joked that only an amendment in the Constitution would allow him to marry another woman.
Replying to a question about the marriages of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, he said that Punjab CM did not marry anyone for political purposes.
“Like other Muslims, Shehbaz Sharif is also allowed to marry up four women,” he said, adding, “I suggest Uncle [Shehbaz Sharif] complete four marriages.”
