BHAKKAR – As election fever gripped the country, supporters of a political party allegedly tortured a minor child for tearing an election poster in Bhakkar.
Pictures shared on social media show a man thrashed the four-year-old boy with a wooden stick and later he was tied to a tree while a scattered poster belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is lying on the ground near the minor.

Bhakkar police have arrested two suspects identified as Pervez Khan and Ameer Khan, who are said to be connected with the Imran Khan-led party. Further investigation is underway.
On Monday, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) summoned Imran Khan on July 4 in a plea against submission of assurance affidavits from party ticket hopefuls.
The petition had been filed by PTI ticket hopeful Mulk Munir.
During the hearing, Munir’s counsel informed the court that the PTI has asked applicants to submit an affidavit that they will not leave the party or contest as independent candidates in case they are refused tickets to contest the polls.
