ISLAMABAD – The Prime Minister Imran Khan felicitated Usman Buzdar on Tuesday for being elected as chief minister Punjab.
The PM expressed that with Usman as CM Punjab there would be a new phase of progress and prosperity especially for the backward areas of the province.
“The people of Punjab have stood with the vision of ‘New Pakistan’ and I am confident that Buzdar will not disappoint me,” added Imran Khan.
Imran Khan assured full support of center to the newly elected CM Punjab, moreover, both leaders also discussed the cabinet formation in Pakistan’s most populated province.
Sardar Usman Buzdar was sworn in as 20th chief minister of Punjab at a ceremony held at Governor House in Lahore on Monday.

Acting Governor Punjab and Speaker Assembly Pervez Elahi administered the oath-taking ceremony.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) nominee Sardar Usman Buzdar was elected for the slot of Punjab chief minister on Sunday with 186 votes in the house of 371, while Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’ (PML-N) candidate Hamza Shehbaz stood second with 159 votes for the province’s most coveted post.
