MASTUNG – At least one person was killed and another injured after a remote-controled blast in an area of Mastung Monday morning.
According to Levies sources, the blast occurred in Kandawa area killing a school teacher named Abdul Rauf and injuring his son.
Both victims were on their way to home after offering Fateh at the grave of their relative when the explosion took place.
The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, while security forces have cordoned off the area, launching investigations into the matter.
In July, as many as 131 people, including an election candidate, were killed while more than 120 others injured in a suicide bombing in the southern Pakistani province of Balochistan.
Security sources said the explosion occurred at an election meeting of Nawabzada Siraj Raisani in Darengarh area of Mastung.

Raisani, who was a candidate of the recently-formed Balochistan Awami Party, was killed in the suicide attack. He was the younger brother of Nawab Aslam Raisani, former chief minister of Balochistan.
