Punjab govt to spend Rs 70 billion on clean drinking water

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Provincial Minister for Trade and Investment Ch. Muhammad Shaifq has said seventy billion rupees are being spent on provision of clean drinking water project by the Punjab government during three years in the province.

This he made while talking to newsmen in Sadiqbad.

He said the government has evolved a comprehensive strategy to provide clean drinking water to the general masses.

The Minster said work on this project has already been started in southern Punjab including Bahawalpur, Lodhran and Rahim Yar khan districts at the cost of eleven billion rupees.
