RISALPUR - Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif Thursday warned the internal and external miscreants against any act of aggression or strategic miscalculation, saying that Pakistani armed forces are fully prepared to give the "most befitting response" to any threat directed at the country.

Addressing the passing-out cadets at Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Academy in Risalpur, the COAS said that Pakistan is wishful of good relations with all its neighbours but nobody should mistake our collective resolve to defend the motherland.

"Operation Zarb-i-Azb with full support from Pakistan Air Force has successfully turned the tide against terrorism," he went on to say, further adding "Its rule has been crucial to root out the menace of terrorism."

The army chief said the enemies of Pakistan are trying to reverse the gains of anti-terrorism operation but their their nefarious designs will not succeed.

Gen Raheel Sharif said that Pakistan is a responsible country and remains committed to follow the policy of friendship with all other countries on the basis of mutual respect and equality.

Referring to the Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir, he called the Indian aggression "an unfortunate display of utter desperation."
