Bannu Election Commissioner appointed as DRO in NA-122 by polls

LAHORE (Online) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced to hold the by-election in Lahore and Lodhran constituencies under the supervision of Election Commission (EC) civil officers instead of judiciary.

ECP has issued notification of appointment of officers for holding by polls.

According to the notification, Regional Election Commissioner Bannu Ahmed Nawaz and District Election Officer Muzaffargarh Zafar Iqbal have been appointed District Returning Officer and Returning Officer respectively in by polls at NA-122.

Assistant Commissioner City Lahore, Deputy District Education Officer Model Town Lahore and Election Officer Faisalabad have been appointed as Assistant Returning officers for the by elections.

As per election schedule, the nomination papers for NA-122 can be submitted from 10 to 11 September.

Scrutiny of the nomination papers will be carried out on September 14 while the candidates will be able to withdraw their nomination papers till September 21.
Polling for re-elections in NA-122 and NA-154 will take place on October 11.
