Illegal billboards in Sindh: Govt. fails to meet Supreme Court deadline for removal

KARACHI: The deadline of the Supreme Court for removal of illegal billboards on different roads in Karachi has passed but the provincial government has yet to ensure the removal of all such billboards.

Earlier, the Supreme Court of Pakistan had ordered the removal of illegal billboards citing the safety of citizens.

The deadline for removal was set for June 30 but reports suggest that almost thirty percent of the illegal billboards are still in place, including those on pedestrian bridges on Shahrah-e-Faisal and Karsaaz.
