LAHORE: The sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan was reportedly manhandled on Friday by police officials escorting a VVIP motorcade in Lahore.
According to reports, Dr. Uzma Khanum said that she was going to attend Juma prayers in Gulberg II along with her family when a police vehicle deliberately attempted to collide head-on with her car.
Talking to Geo News, Uzma confirmed the incident and maintained that after the collision, armed police harassed her and forced her to stop the car. Upon inquiry, she was told that her movement had been halted to make way for a certain VIP, who was passing through the area.

Khan went on to claim that she had been blocked by the motorcade of Maryam Nawaz, the daughter of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. She also claimed that Maryam Nawaz had even seen the way she was being mistreated.
The premier’s daughter, however, denied the allegations in a tweet.

Uzma Khanum has not yet reported the incident to local police or registered an FIR so far, said Superintendent Police Gulberg.
On the other hand, a Sharif family spokesperson said that Imran Khan’s sister should not indulge in lies like her brother. “There is no reality in this incident,” the spokesperson added.
